CraftMarket

A niche marketplace for handmade goods — without a year of backend work.

A full two-sided marketplace — artisan onboarding, story-led listings, AI buyer chat, split payouts and dispute arbitration — composed from AIMicroservices in a couple of weeks.

WHY IT WORKS

CraftMarket is a blueprint for a vertical marketplace. One side is artisans: a guided onboarding wizard turns their Instagram feed into a store, their site into a catalog, and their Notion drafts into story-led product pages. The other side is buyers: an AI guide that answers questions about provenance, materials and shipping in any language, walks them through variations and takes them to checkout inside the conversation.

The hard part of a marketplace is trust and money. CraftMarket bakes both in: every seller gets a living trust score based on response time, return rate and dispute history; every order is ledgered so platform commission, seller payout and sales tax split automatically; every dispute lands in an AI-mediated flow that collects evidence from both sides, proposes a resolution and only escalates when the parties refuse to settle.

Because every block is already a microservice — catalog, chat, billing, forms, identity — the team ships the first pilot in weeks and spends the rest of the runway on the category-specific details: how artisans tell stories, how buyers discover, how the platform fights counterfeits.

ARCHITECTURE · LAYERED BLUEPRINT

How the microservices wire up.

Read top to bottom. Channels are where people arrive, orchestration is how the AI thinks, domain is the startup-specific logic, data & identity keeps the source of truth, and platform is the invisible glue.

HOW TO SHIP IT

Quick-start checklist.

  1. 01 Use SiteCrawler + CreatorStudio to onboard the first 20 artisans from their Instagram feeds.
  2. 02 Configure CommissionLedger with platform fee, seller split and VAT rules.
  3. 03 Train the shopping agent on KnowledgeBase entries for materials & care.
  4. 04 Open buyer traffic; DisputeArbiter and TrustPulse kick in from day one.
